Empowering churches and believers to
participate in fulfilling the Great Commission.
Chester Baptist Association Women’s Ministry & Missionary Union (WMU), an auxiliary of the Chester Baptist Association, exists to empower our churches and community to actively participate in the Great Commission. We are committed to equipping believers of all ages—women and men, girls and boys, and preschoolers—to discover their unique calling and live on mission for Christ.
As a ministry rooted in Chester County, we are especially passionate about ministering to women through prayer, encouragement, worship, and fellowship. We seek to create meaningful opportunities for women to grow in their faith, build authentic relationships, and be strengthened as they live out their calling in their homes, churches, and communities.
Through partnership with our local churches, we provide support and resources to strengthen missions discipleship across every stage of life—from preschool to adults—helping congregations build a strong, mission-minded culture both within the church and beyond its walls.
Rooted in a rich history of missions in South Carolina, dating back to 1875, WMU has remained steadfast in its purpose: advancing the gospel through missions. While methods and ministries have evolved over time, the mission has never changed.
Today, Chester Baptist Association WMU continues to seek creative and meaningful ways to engage individuals, families, and churches in missions—helping each person find their place in God’s work and inspiring future generations to carry that passion forward.
